Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I had been shopping last week (end of January 2007) at our local Farm Store - Mills Fleet Farm in Osseo. I happened to pick up a farm magazine that was free to the customers. I looked through the magazine and saw an add out advertising the new Toyota Truck - they were going to be showing off this vehicle at basically all the Mills Fleet stores on different or selected weekends this Spring. I was disturbed with this news and wrote an email on THEIR web page stating I was not pleased with showing off foreign corporation vehicles and why aren't they or didn't they in the past ever want to introduce and show off the American corporation built vehicles, especially with our brothers and sisters losing their jobs to foreign manufacturers now!! I did capitalize on our Ford plant here in St. Paul as well. Stu Mills called me, literally at my home to say that they basically believed in "American Made" products, and they believe the Ford trucks are the best trucks out there. This Toyota thing was paid by Toyota and they wanted to introduce their product through Mills, as you know, Mills owns Toyota in Willmar, Minnesota. I told Stu that I felt I needed to talk to you guys and see if you guys know of anything we can do, like hand-bill, or some sort of action that shows Mills Fleet Farm how we feel. Thanks for listening - hopefully we can work on this as Union family.
